Shop Opportunities

Our shop is one of the most versatile job shops in the area, with machines ranging from high powered laser cutting tables to all types of manual and CNC machines at our beck and call. With more experience comes better pay, especially in a shop as diverse as Detailed Machining. We are looking to hire a skilled CNC Programmer to operate and maintain our CNC equipment. As a CNC Programmer, you will be responsible for reading and interpreting technical blueprints, inputting the design specifications, adjusting the machine cutting paths, and performing quality checks on the final product. You may also be required to perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshoot any issues that arise during the manufacturing process.

To ensure success as a CNC Programmer, you should have extensive experience working in manufacturing, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work unsupervised. Ultimately, a top-class CNC Programmer works quickly and efficiently, ensuring all products meet the specifications of the client.

CNC Programmer Responsibilities:

  • Reading and interpreting technical blueprints and design models.

  • Loading raw materials into the CNC machine.

  • Inputting the product design into the computer modeling software.

  • Choosing and loading the correct cutting tools for the job.

  • Adjusting machine settings to the desired product specifications.

  • Troubleshooting issues during the manufacturing process.

  • Completing quality control tests during the manufacturing stage and on the final product.

  • Cleaning and maintaining the machine.

  • Training new staff on machine operation procedures.

CNC Programmer Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED.

  • Previous work experience as a CNC Programmer.

  • Ability to read and interpret design blueprints.

  • Extensive experience with computer modeling software.

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Ability to work independently and stick to a deadline.

  • Ability to stand for extended periods.

  • Ability to lift heavy objects.

  • Ability to work after-hours when required.


Under minimal supervision, sets up and operates manually and small CNC controlled machines in skilled precision and bench work in the fabrication, maintenance, repair and alteration of machinery, machine parts, tools and equipment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (include the following, however, other duties may apply.)

  • Performs all tasks in a safe and responsible manner.

  • Reads and interprets blueprints.

  • Uses gages and measuring instruments to meet tolerance requirements.

  • Uses precision tools, machinery and equipment such as lathe, vertical milling machine, drill press, hydraulic press, chop saw, band saw, push and pull broaches and a variety of cutting tools and equipment.

  • Fabricates and shapes parts such as tools and machine parts out of metal, plastics and composites

  • Properly and safely selects, aligns, secures and removes holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories and materials onto machines

  • Recognizes, deploys and properly uses inserts, fixtures and tooling

  • Performs daily and regular cleaning and light maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment

  • Evaluate experimental procedures and recommend change or modifications for efficiency and adaptability to setup and production

  • Ability to track parts and jobs into the vantage system.

  • Utilizes and abides by ISO requirements and safety procedures

  • Complies with all quality policies, specifications, regulations and instructions


The Robotic Welding Cell Operator will perform the daily startup and operation of a MIG welding robot in a fabrication shop environment. We are looking for a dedicated manufacturing professional with a sincere desire to go that extra mile for the customer.  Our team will train and provide support to ensure your success!


  • Operate robotic welding equipment.

  • Read shop orders and engineering drawings to determine specifications and accurately complete all required functions.

  • Safely apply welds per specifications to produce completed product.

  • Modify computer-controlled robotic movements.

  • Develop robotic path motions to maximize efficiency, safety and quality.

  • Good verbal and written communication skills.

Our company is looking for a highly talented Welder to join our dynamic team. We’re seeking a hardworking professional who likes meeting challenges and surpassing client expectations. Your chief responsibilities will include interpreting designs, monitoring machinery, and assessing welded components.

To excel in this role, you should have in-depth knowledge of welding machinery and electrical equipment. The successful candidate will also have a steady hand and outstanding attention to detail.


  • Interpret blueprints, drawings, and measurements to plan layouts.

  • Weld small and large components such as copper plumbing, flat parts, weldments and pipe.

  • Use specialized machinery for industrial welding and oversee machines that perform the same job.

  • Maintain and repair all machinery.

  • Assess welded surfaces, structures and components to identify errors.

  • Follow and enforce strict safety regulations such as wearing heat-resistant gloves, protective masks, and safety shoes.

  • Monitor machinery for appropriate usage and temperature.

  • Weld components in flat, vertical, and overhead positions.
